Don't hide from your landlord / agent.  Speak to them and explain your situation.  Try and come to a mutual resolution.

If you get more than two weeks in arrears the landlord / agent is obliged to give you a termination notice requiring the property to be surrendered.
It is really important, if you are experiencing hardship with rent payments, that you speak to the landlord / agent.
